Highlanders FC continue their winning spree after throwing out visiting team, Mutare City Rovers out of the Chibuku Super Cup at Barbourfields Stadium yesterday.
Highlanders were the first to get on the scoreboard after a classic own goal scored by Munyaradzi Sako.
However Mutare City Rovers were not to be outdone as they capitalized on a defensive blunder by Highlanders' left-back Honest Moyo in the 47th minute, with Agrippa Murimba beating goalkeeper Ariel Sibanda.
With both teams tied at 1-1 in the second half, Matema, replaced Allen Gahadzikwa in the 61st minute and scored the winner in the 79th minute when he beat Mutare City Rovers' goalkeeper Philip Nhete at the near post.
Matema, who is having a fantastic goal scoring season scored Highlanders' winner in the 2-1 league victory over Dynamos last week.
Bosso had the chance to score more goals but squandered five clear-cut chances, three in the first half and two in the second.
Mutare City coach Taku Shariwa said losing to Highlanders was a blessing in disguise as he would now focus on their survival fight.
Bosso gaffer Erol Akbay said: "It's a good win for us, but we're not thinking about the final yet. We need to take each game as it comes."
