Harare man steals 10kg mealie meal from neighbour

A starving Harare man from Galloway was arrested after stealing 10kg mealie meal from his neighbour.
The 35-year-old man identified as Munyaradzi Chidemo reportedly broke into a neighbour's house and stole 10kgs mealie meal, 500g washing powder, US$300 cash and a mobile phone, which was left on the charger.
In court Chidemo pleaded not guilty but he was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment before nine were suspended on condition of good behaviour.
